Painting by Andrew Jones!
Today, I’d like to create a resonance with you 🙂 It seems like the perfect way to end a year <3
I’ve been doing this blog for about a month now… which means that’s 31 blogs in a row, 31 days straight i’ve been writing nonsense… and sometimes real sense too I hope, in an experiment about communication, expression, meaning, language, all of that stuff.
It’s been teaching me how to write, especially in seeing and responding to the comments.
Statistics are very interesting. I have been paying attention to the google analytics on my blog for the past few days, in order to gain a better understanding of who reads my blog. Pretty much all I can see is “what blogs did well, what blogs didn’t do well, what blogs got a lot of comments, which ones didn’t”.
Interestingly enough, the Hobbit blog got a tremendous amount of pageviews, 2900!.. and yet only 4 comments. In fact, 97% of people didn’t stay on the page for more than 10 seconds!
It seems the ones that REALLY get people talking are blogs like “How to Change the World”, that one has a whopping 100 comments! And not just whatever comments either, you guys were seriously engaged with that writing!
Isn’t that wildly interesting? I think so! Continue reading
I’ve been thinking a lot about disagreements… what is the energy behind a disagreement? Or is there something about it that fuels growth, transformation… even more power?
And for that matter, what does growth mean? What does more power mean? Power as in electricity? Power as in “That was a powerfully moving movie”… In this case, maybe a bit of both.
For that matter, what even is a disagreement? The modern definition is; a lack of consensus or approval.
As this year is wrapping up, looking back i’ve seen many different shared experiences i’ve had with different people. In fact, those shared experiences, both good and bad, are what make up a large part of this year. Other events sometimes look like riding planes, trains, playing video games… and yet even those are shared experiences with people. Continue reading
The Hobbit was one of the biggest anticipations of mine for the year! It was like a grand finale for the year and everything that’s been going on. 😀
See, for me the movie isn’t just a movie… it’s a reflection and representation of what’s going on in my life. When I first started working with Ray and building Panic to Freedom, that was right around when the first Hobbit came out, and we both went super stoked to go with each other because we’re two of the biggest nerds on the planet!
In addition to that though, afterwards we also read the book together, usually reading a chapter every time one of us would make meals, and we would alternate back and forth on reading. (We also read PatternMaster and Enders Game this year). I absolutely loved the book, it was a whimsical tale, very innocent and playful, and a very easy read at that.
I have a new rule for movie books
It’s better to have two enjoyable experiences, than one great one, and one that feels disappointing.
If you haven’t read the book already, and there’s a movie coming out… watch the movie first. The book is always better… but the movie always seems enjoyable if you have no idea what it is going into it… So simply save the best for last, and both experiences are great!
~ Update ~ The call is now over, i’ve changed some of this blog to be in the past tense 🙂
Today I thought i’d let you in on the happenings that we just started happening as of last week. A live-streamed video chat which everyone is invited to be a part of!
The call took place at Noon (which at the point of writing this is about 3 hours away from now), where we’ll be inviting members of Panic to Freedom to log in and chat with us. Everyone is welcome, and we will be actively looking at the comments to answer any questions that come up as well.
You’re invited to come tune in, and if you’re interested in participating in the call, all that is required is your participation in Panic to Freedom. We are currently relaunching the program, if this holds interest to you, please check out the Homepage and sign up for our relaunch email list.
You know… Today, I just want to be short and sweet.
We’re all Human.
Can that be good enough? We’re all learning, we’re all growing, and most importantly, we’re all doing the best that we can with what we have.
I do my best to try and live by what I talk about, being connected to those I interact with, being loving and kind, reflecting on everything to see how my interaction was, and how it could have been interpreted differently in order to grow as a person, and be able to share and do more with everyone i’m working with.
Have your own experience when interacting with or reading any of the stuff that I post or create, i know i’ve said that a lot, and i’d like to re-iterate it one more time 🙂 Continue reading
On the last “Learning from Each Other” blog, one of the first comments I got on Facebook was something akin to: “I don’t feel like this was about rapid knowledge gain. You just described finding a mentor.”
And with that, I decided I was going to write a part 2, it was clear to me I needed to (or at least wanted to) expand on this topic a little further.
In the previous blog, I talked about finding someone who knows how to do what you want to do, and asking them for help or following them around so that you can learn from them. It’s a natural part of learning, growing from the information passed down by those who came before you.
There are 2 topics I’d like to explore deeper into today. What does “Power-leveling” mean, and creating a friendship where both you and your friend are both the teachers, and the students. As in, the energy doesn’t just flow in one direction. Lets start with this one.
Lol, i had a placeholder blog here this morning that just said “Merry Christmas Blog”, I meant to set it to post later in the afternoon at 1pm, but i think i goofed and had it set to 1am!
Silly me 😛
Christmas this year has been really hectic and busy, mostly because we’ve been trying to create so much with very few hands and sometimes no idea about what the next step is and what the next “thing” is that we need to put into place… It kinda reminds me of a Rubix Cube.
Speaking of Rubix cubes, i found myself playing with one this morning for several hours. A very fun christmas morning indeed! Continue reading
Wow, I’m writing a blog to say that i’m not writing a blog today 😛
That’s some solid commitment right there!
See you tomorrow, and have a happy christmas eve.
This was technically my blog from yesterday, I decided to take a day off and let the God Particle sit there an extra day… >__> Shhh, don’t tell anyone.
As many of you know, i’ve been working on a project for a little over a year now called “Panic to Freedom”, it’s an online program for re-writing anxiety into some real transformation.. To be honest i’ve been growing a lot through this process of making it.
Recently I went through a pretty big shift, i’ve been putting more attention, effort, love and energy into it to help mold it into what it really can be. Part of that means writing this blog, which I’ll be using as a basis to make a video out of in the next little while… I’ve got a looootttt of work ahead of me.
I wanted to write a bit and share with you how it started and what we’re trying to do with it, which will lead into what’s next. This is also somewhat of a continuation from the blog “How to Change the World” (click to read). Panic to freedom is the nurturing environment we are learning how to create… as we create it. Today I present to you a video which has been in the works in my head for over a year now. In truth, I wanted to get this one out last December 21st, but it seems it was not meant to be. I started the SS22 “Light” series last year right at this time though, and it continues on! Here we go 🙂
The God Particle. You’ve probably heard talk about that for a number of years now, with the Higgs Boson discovery or the Large Hadron Collider’s constant smashing of tiny-things together… or maybe you just watched it in The Big Bang Theory.
The revelation that particle interactions, the most basic events in nature, may be consequences of geometry significantly advances a decades-long effort to reformulate quantum field theory, the body of laws describing elementary particles and their interactions. Interactions that were previously calculated with mathematical formulas thousands of terms long can now be described by computing the volume of the corresponding jewel-like “amplituhedron,” which yields an equivalent one-term expression.
“The degree of efficiency is mind-boggling,” said Jacob Bourjaily, a theoretical physicist at Harvard University and an author of the first of two papers detailing the new idea. “You can easily do, on paper, computations that were infeasible even with a computer before.” – Read the Full Scientific Article
