As many of you know, i’ve been working on a project for a little over a year now called “Panic to Freedom”, it’s an online program for re-writing anxiety into some real transformation.. To be honest i’ve been growing a lot through this process of making it.
Recently I went through a pretty big shift, i’ve been putting more attention, effort, love and energy into it to help mold it into what it really can be. Part of that means writing this blog, which I’ll be using as a basis to make a video out of in the next little while… I’ve got a looootttt of work ahead of me.
I wanted to write a bit and share with you how it started and what we’re trying to do with it, which will lead into what’s next. This is also somewhat of a continuation from the blog “How to Change the World” (click to read). Panic to freedom is the nurturing environment we are learning how to create… as we create it.
The core of Panic to Freedom was the idea that if we did it together, if we could all come together to create a nurturing environment for growth and creativity, we could see powerful change and transformation in no time at all. When Ray and I have shared in that space, we succeeded every time. When we were not able to come fully into the space, it would break… and we’d have to fix it.
What we are trying to do with Panic to Freedom is create a space for everyone to come together, a nurturing environment where everyone involved can love and support everyone else. Where people can learn HOW to support someone, rather than just stand there and go “I don’t know what’s happening! I don’t know what’s happening!”
It’s been a big learning process for me too… cuz that used to be exactly what I would do, haha!
The truth is, everyone has Panic or Anxiety in some form or another. Maybe it comes in a general fear of *fill in the blank*, maybe it comes from your parents, or your teachers, or your boss, or your fear of something you don’t understand, you wish not to come to pass and are afraid it will.
Some people numb down the pain and make like it doesn’t exist… It’s okay, we all do it, myself included. Sometimes it’s super hard to even recognize an old pattern or anxiety from inside the system, its not your fault that it’s there. The response-ability comes from recognizing it is, and then doing something different.
I’ve had people come up to me and tell me that they never even KNEW they had panic or anxiety, and yet once they started the program and doing the exercises and thinking about things in this new way… They started to completely change who they were, and their life changed very shortly afterwards.
It’s that kind of message that keeps me inspired and moving forward on this project. I am going to continue to put my full love and energy into it to bring it to a space of pure awesomeness, all the time! I know it’s been a rocky road, but like that little fish thing from this patch parable video… sometimes you gotta tumble before you can fly!
