This blog is based on thoughts my mind puts together after watching 5 seasons of Scrubs in the background while i’ve been working on Pair o’ Dime Shift and Spirit Science (Speaking of which, i’m working on SS22_3, it’s a REALLY BIG ONE! So It’s taking a little more than 1 week…Stay Tuned!).
I saw something the other day that just made me light up inside! I can’t find it anymore… I think it was on Facebook, and you know how Facebook goes… You see it once, and then its gone forever.
It was something like “Jordan I really enjoy your blog, it flows really well and is easy to read”
It felt really good to hear, because for a long time i’ve been really afraid of expressing myself via writing (or even videos) for fear of sounding stupid or saying something that didn’t make sense.
So to hear someone tell me “Dude Bro I’m vibing with you!” just feels really great!…. Bro!
I wanted to share a little about that, and how it came to be the way it is. These thoughts are happening in real time, and they’re just pouring out, just like the way that JD in Scrubs constantly monologues everything! From that perspective, the show is brilliant. It creates a space of reflection for anyone who watches it to think about and reflect upon the happenings that go on all around you. And that’s a valuable piece of the puzzle.
The only downside, I feel, is that because JD has just a complete lack of awareness to everything that’s going on, it doesn’t promote a healthy spiritual growth as much as it could, but instead just propagates the same problems over and over, stuff with a girl, Dr. Cox is mad, Janitor does something crazy, and it hardly changes, the characters only sometimes have defining moments of powerful transformation… Then again, that’s how most shows are, or at least comedy shows are, so what can you do?
… Make better shows, for one, but that’s neither here nor there.
I think there’s a healthy value to turning your thoughts into a language that you can make sense out of. You can do it in words, you can do it in pictures, in colors, as long as it provides a means for you to understand, describe and share it with others.
Over time, you will even be writing mental programs to do it for you, so that you’re aware of what connections your brain is making without having to strain too hard to figure it all out.
For me, I feel like it allows my physical body to understand what’s going on and think larger thoughts because i’m not spending all of my time trying to figure out what’s going on, i’m describing it to myself, talking to myself, in order to help understanding.
Create a language for yourself… That’s what Marie was telling me about.. Putting a picture to the energy i feel, to draw what it feels like in my mind to understand it better.
And just as important as it is to do it in your head, it’s also good to do it outside your head. It turns out, you’re connected to everything, so your thoughts and feelings are constantly having some form of impact or reflection with those of you nearby, or have strong connections with.
If you talk about it with them, you can build your connection with them, as well as understand things better by integrating more connections (the ones that they tell you about).
Maybe it’s just me, but this feels like a practice that brings the Mind, Body, and Spirit, all together. (The Author and the Character… that’s going to be the next blog tomorrow, so wait for it and you’ll see what I mean!).
Once the Mind and the body begin to communicate more clearly, they pass their information through Spirit, the heart, and you once again create that Infinity Loop that we talked about in this blog, and it brings you closer into resonance with Who We all truly Are.
Okay! I’m done for the night
